There are many reasons to attend Fashion Camp this June! We talked to a few campers from previous years to get the details on their experience and the opportunities they received from camp. After attending fashion camp, these campers applied to show a full collection at Omaha Fashion Week and were selected to participate!
Omaha Fashion Week and Develop Model Management will be holding a Model Casting Prep Workshop on May 23rd. If you are interested in modeling in August 2016 Omaha Fashion Week, we highly encourage attending this workshop prior to attending the model call (held on June 11th). Attendees will learn how to interact with photographers and improve their walking technique on the runway.
The organizers of Omaha Fashion Week presented by SAC Federal Credit Union announced the designers who have been selected to show collections during the next season of OFW August 22-27. The lineup includes 30 designers. 11 of who are newcomers to Omaha Fashion Week.

Omaha Fashion Week welcomed a new exciting sponsor this past week! Umwelten Brands is a new business based out of New Delhi, India that works with young emerging designers using a grassroots framework. During OFW, we had a chance to chat with Sanam Ghai, the founder of Umwelten who traveled all the way from Lisbon to be with us. After doing extensive research on major fashion weeks, she discovered OFW, the Midwest’s premiere fashion event. She instantly became interested in getting involved with the talented designers we have right here in Omaha.

The scores are in...OFW Producers announce the top designers from our March 2016 season at the Omaha Design Center. A Top Designer was selected for Student Night and all three designer showcases. Winners each receive a $500 cash prize. Read on to find out who they are!
Last night, the audience watched five pro teams and five student teams go head to head at the Develop Model Management Beauty Show. Earlier in the month, OFW announced the exciting news that the new TLC series, Global Beauty Masters, would be joining us to choose two teams to qualify for the third season of the show. We had three winners last night! One team took home OFW’s $3,000 prize package while two other teams were selected by the Global Beauty Master’s panelist to qualify for the show.
Omaha Fashion Week’s final designer showcase was presented last night at the Omaha Design Center. The sold out show was one for the books! The audience got the chance to view some amazing raw talent at this showcase. Designers who sent collections down the runway include Christopher Di Giorgio, Flor & Thace by Alesha Johnson and Alison Cloet, Mitch Henderson, Grace Neary, Judy Bales, and Dalton Taylor.
Last night OFW’s audience watched Ciara Fortun, Madyssen Hrlevich, Alyssa Koory, Aaron Sobetski and R&F Designs take on the runway. It was a full house at the Omaha Design Center!
Another night of fashion went down in the books last night at Omaha Fashion Week. OFW kicked off the first designer showcase of the season with designers Maria Barmettler, Yolanda Diaz, Bertiher De La Cruz, Tirzah Beam, Chessna Fernald and Kate Bruce.
Over 100 cancer survivors took on the runway last night at Omaha Fashion Week. The Methodist Survivor Show, held every March, left the audience in tears and cheers.
Omaha Design Center welcomed Omaha Fashion Week March 2016 with open arms last night. To start off the week long of fashion, OFW brought in young designers for Student Night. Part of OFW’s mission is to nurture the youngest of fashion designers by providing mentoring, educational opportunities and a professional platform to showcase their work. This night provides the means to do just that.
Former OFW designer, Ellene McClay, was chosen to design a very special dress this season. The SAC Federal Credit Union Money Dress was revealed at OFW’s Preview Party just a couple weeks ago! Now it is taking the stage and guests are able to get involved.
As many of you know, the Omaha Design Center held its grand opening last night. At the grand opening we featured two runway shows, Kate Walz and Design Parliament.
Last night, Omaha Fashion Week producers, Nick and Brook Hudson, officially opened the doors to the Omaha Design Center. OFW finally has a permanent home! After months and months of renovations, the space completely came together for the grand opening. The chandeliers twinkled and the runway shined as the fashion community came together for this extraordinary event.
