Scores have been tallied from the OFW Selection Panel and the following designers will receive a $500 check courtesy of SAC Federal Credit Union, for being the top designers of our March 2016 season. 

STUDENT NIGHT TOP DESIGNER: Hannah Hildalgo with the Kent Bellows Mentoring Program at Joslyn

THURSDAY NIGHT TOP DESIGNER: Kate Bruce
Bruce is a senior at Iowa State University. In the future, she hopes to run her own company, creating upscale ready-to-wear apparel and accessories. She has previously held internships with Marc Jacobs and Kate Spade. The collection she is showing will be comprised of women’s ready-to-wear. This collection was inspired by the work of Andy Warhol. Interestingly, this collection is centered on this idea that features beauty found in office supplies.

FRIDAY NIGHT TOP DESIGNER: Ciara Fortun
Fortun is a 15-year-old high school student. She is the designer of Noelle Designs. “The collection I am planning to show is based on classic and timeless colors; black, white and gold,” she tells us. The collection will be all dresses and skirts. In the future, Fortun hopes to attend a design college for fashion design. One day she plans to have collections for retail or custom orders.

SATURDAY NIGHT TOP DESIGNER: Christopher DiGiorgio
Di Giorgio is a returning designer to OFW. He previously competed in the OFW Fashion Cup in August. He will be presenting a men’s wear collection with a luxurious feel. “My main focus will be outerwear pieces, every look must have an exquisite coat or jacket,” he tells us. In the future, he plans to create his own menswear label and continue designing.
