The most glamorous red-carpet event of the year, Omaha Fashion Week presented by SAC Federal Credit Union’s VIP Runway Finale wrapped up the 10 Year Anniversary celebration last night at the Omaha Design Center. The sold out show was a hit, featuring the work of 14 designers. Before the show, Finest Hour serenaded fans. Winners of the Emerging Designer and Featured Designer prize packages courtesy of SAC Federal Credit Union were announced.
Fashion fans flocked to the Omaha Design Center last night for the chance to celebrate 10 years of Omaha Fashion Week presented by SAC Federal Credit Union. The sold-out show brought 84 designers and numerous previous models, stylists, and participants. Emcee favorite Brandi Peterson hosted as collections showcasing designs from each year walked the runway.
Excitement filled the air as Omaha Fashion Week presented by SAC Federal Credit Union hit the runway for its final competition showcase tonight as Featured Designers competed for a $500 cash prize. Starting the show with a bang, Headliner Paulie Gibson shared his chic menswear line offering a rich perspective of the modern man. Closing the evening, Michael Drummond brought sophisticated, yet a little offbeat, womenswear. Both based out of St. Louis, the designers are returning headliners for Omaha Fashion Week. Drummond will sit on the Celebrity Panel during the VIP Runway Finale on Saturday.
Bright lights, big city seemed to be the theme of the OFW runway tonight during the Vivid: Featured Designer Showcase. From Chicago-based Headline designer Borris Powell to Featured Designers SuShe by J. Tracey and Jane Round from New York, the runway was full of life!Kicking off the night was Headliner Pretty In Patina whose owner, Elizabeth Kittel has taken an active role this season as host of the pre-party, retailer, model, and designer!
Empower was the theme of the evening with designers focused on clothing their customer in confidence. Headliner Denise Ervin Designs opened the night with a line of sophisticated separates available for custom order. 2016 SAC Fashion Cup Winner, Breanne Reiss, closed the evening with her quirky Sweatshirt of the Month Club line, also available for purchase throughout the week in the Pop-Up Shop Market.
A little bit of rain and a total eclipse didn’t stop the party at Omaha Design Center last night during the opening night of Omaha Fashion Week presented by SAC Federal Credit Union. Flashing lights and flashy cars lit up the night as eight Emerging Designers prepared for the show. Teen heartthrob Dylan Gardner from California serenaded patrons as they shopped and enjoyed a wine tasting during the Pretty In Patina Pre-Party. For the first time ever, guest received on site manicures at the Borsheims Sparkle & Shine Nail Bar.
Amanda Valentine is a fashion designer born and raised in Nebraska. With a degree in Clothing and Textiles Design, she works as a wardrobe stylist for photo shoots, music videos, and red carpet events, as well as running her clothing line.
Erin Thomas is the designer behind Miami Beach based luxury swimwear brand Toxic Sadie Swimwear. With a background in Interior Design, Erin mixes sharp silhouettes, playful prints, convertible straps and signature hardware to create a very distinct look all her own.
With a background in fine arts, Dan Richters combines his foundation in painting, drawing, and sculpture with his curiosity and appreciation for clothing. Often inspired by fairytales and mythology, he creates otherworldly collections where art and fashion meet.
Buf Reynolds is a women's wear designer, born and raised in Omaha, and has had her hands in the development and growth of Omaha Fashion Week since the very beginning. Her designs are bold, classic, elegant, and evoke her vision and sense of adventure.
