Bright lights, big city seemed to be the theme of the OFW runway tonight during the Vivid: Featured Designer Showcase. From Chicago-based Headline designer Borris Powell to Featured Designers SuShe by J. Tracey and Jane Round from New York, the runway was full of life!

Kicking off the night was Headliner Pretty In Patina whose owner, Elizabeth Kittel has taken an active role this season as host of the pre-party, retailer, model, and designer! Christopher Di Giorgio was the first competing designer to hit the runway with his sparkling western-wear inspired collection. Jane Round wooed the crowd with brilliant soft colors a la Georgia O’Keefe. Roger Figueroa sent stunningly chic neutral mens and womens looks down the runway born of an overcoming spirit. The embodiment of bright, Fella featuring Margie Trembley Chapeaux closed the first half with stark whites, pinks and purple clothing and hats.

In the second half, Buf Reynolds introduced her line delving into the unexpected beauty found during decomposition of the human body. AJK’s menswear turned street featured color blocking and patchwork inspired by global trends. Collaboration was key in the next two lines featuring talented designers co-creating with visual artists. The Passionate Lion by Tamara Kurtenbach featured work by artist Stephen Kavanaugh in a high end activewear line closing with the Queen of Diamonds dress. SuShe by J. Tracey presented a collection featuring hand screen printing and artwork by Nathan Gurnon.
