Omaha Fashion Week concluded Sunday evening after a weeklong celebration of fashion talent in the Midwest. Over 60 designers and 14 boutiques showed collections on the runway this week. Seventeen designers in three showcases and 42 student designers in the Metropolitan Community College Student Night competed for nightly $500 cash prizes courtesy of SAC Federal Credit Union.
Each night, designers were scored by the Omaha Fashion Week Selection Panel composed of Vanessa Barrett, Denise Ervin, Pamela Finn, Nick Huff, Nanci Stephenson and Dr. Barb Trout. The panel scored designs based on the creativity and innovation of the collection as well as the overall presentation.
Top scores were tallied to determine the winner for the nightly award. SAC Federal Credit Union will be providing $500 to selected designers. We are excited to announce the top designer for each night.

On Sunday, Develop Model Management hosted the Beauty Show in which four local stylists had an opportunity to share their creativity in An Ode to the Oscars by completing head-to-toe looks for six models in only 48 hours.
First Place winner Victor Victoria is took home a $2500 Prize Package which is a $1,000 cash prize, an exclusive VIP table at the August 2017 Finale valued at $1,000 and a full-page ad in Omaha FASHION Magazine.
First runner-up, The Mane Attraction received a $500 cash prize. Second runner-up, Heathers, received a $250 cash prize.
Throughout the week, audience members also competed in the Guess the Dress competition by texting in to guess the amount of money used construct this season's SAC Federal Credit Union Money Dress worn by Develop model Micayla Eggert this season. Guesses were submitted by 130 attendees. Designer Bridget Sayles used $392.88 to construct the dress. Doug Mau placed the closest guess and received VIP season tickets to the ten year anniversary of Omaha Fashion Week August 21-26.
