Grace Neary will be joining us again this season at Omaha Fashion Week. As designer of GND, she will be presenting a women’s ready to wear collection.

Grace began her career in fashion and design after she received her first sewing machine. She tells us, “I never really had the nerve to start or learn (about garment construction) until my sophomore year of high school. That Christmas I received my first sewing machine, mannequin, and my grandmother’s 1970 Vogue Sewing Book. I decided to apply to be in Omaha Fashion Week, and showed on the runway for the first time a little over a year after I started sewing.”

Her collection for this season is inspired by the city of San Francisco. She tells us, “This current collection is one for the holistic woman.” She goes on to say, “The Bay Area seems to celebrate humanity in every form imaginable, and so each look on the runway will be dedicated and inspired by a specific neighborhood or landmark in the city of San Francisco.”

Outside of fashion and design, Grace claims service work is a large part of who she is. She currently serves on Operation Others Core Team, a nonprofit based out of the Catholic High Schools in Omaha. Operation Others Core Team works to provide two weeks worth of sustenance to over 1,500 metro area families throughout the December holiday season.

We hope to see you alongside the runway as Grace presents her collection on March 19th!
