Terri Buckner joins Omaha Fashion Week once again to showcase her upcycled and repurposed fashion under the label Nuevintage.

Terri’s collection, she tells us, has an eclectic renaissance and gypsy feel, featuring primarily vintage velvet and found objects used to create jewelry.

“Everything is one of a kind, it cannot be duplicated because the materials are being recycled and updated,” Terri says. “All the materials have their own life.”

The Boho-chic designer has been collecting vintage clothing since the age of 12. After moving to Los Angeles and opening up a vintage store, Terri later decided to pack up and return to Omaha. With a vast collection of vintage-goods she did not want to go to waste, she began breaking down the pieces and repurposing them. She began creating pieces for who she describes as a “subtle Boho woman” and “someone who is very free-spirited, independent and unique.” And thus, Nuevintage was born.
