Omaha Fashion Week’s Fall 2022 season of fashion and glamour is continuing with our Emerging Designer Showcase, presented by Metropolitan Community College. VIVERE, to Live Again, which is what we are all craving after over two years of living the pandemic lifestyle. We saw designs focused on bringing new life to old textiles, upcycling techniques and throwback silhouettes.

Guests arrived to the Omaha Design Center and rushed to take photos by Alyssa Jean Photography on the Milan Laser Red Carpet, and enjoyed music from Crabrangucci while sipping Tito’s cocktails.

VIP Guests were greeted by valet, posed on the Milan Laser Red Carpet, then grabbed a Tito’s Vodka signature cocktail, attendees found their premium seats along the Omaha Fashion Week Runway. Thanks to Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa, VIP Guests received hors d'oeuvres by Attitude on Food.

Thursday night’s showcase was headlined by the Lauren Bander. Her collection showcased a beautiful take on dark romance featuring deep hues of reds, mixing textures, and feminine silhouettes.

Quanecia Fraser of KETV hosted our show, and brought such vibrant life to the stage. Develop Models were runway ready and the show continued with a collection of streetwear from Xposed inspired by military silhouettes and colors to evoke feelings of nostolgia and chaos. Deconstructed bows by Elsi Marie hit the runway showcasing the balance between sophistication and freedom. Next, MPOWER presented a collection of high fashion sportswear made to empower women. Designs by Rey utilized upcycled materials to personify ephemeral beauty. Closing out the first half of our show, Wearing It, displayed a collection of streetwear through the lens of techonology, nature, and God.

During intermission, house music kept the energy up and attendees enjoyed looking through their Omaha FASHION Magazine.

Guests returned to their seats next to the runway as another round of collections began. Britney Spangenberg debuted an edgy yet refined first collection inspired by the potency of ink. Next we saw House of Jadé with a collection of evening wear envisioned and designed by four generations, inspired by African royalty. Meshing Hollywood glamor and Y2K styles, Sommer, presented a collection full of unexpected silhouettes. Eww Feelings also took inspiration from the melding of ideas; hip-hop culture of New York meets LA’s skate and surf culture with impressions of Japanese nightlife all with the overlying theme of opening a conversation around mental health. Dan Richters closed out the night with a literally radiant collection featuring new design processes while referencing ancient ideals of royalty in fairytales.

We also gave the Sabrina Jones Spirit Award to the incredible Alyssa Dilts to honor and celebrate the 10 year anniversary of Develop Model Management. We are so lucky to be able to work with Alyssa, her team, and her models year after year. We truly couldn’t do it without her! Check out our behind the scenes interview on the beginning, present, and future of DMM with Alyssa here.

A fabulous continuation of our designer showcases!
