Omaha Fashion Week wrapped up one of its biggest seasons yet this past Saturday, after a weeklong celebration of fashion talent in the Midwest! Over 60 designers, 15 boutiques, and 7 high schools and mentoring programs showed collections on the runway, with Omaha Design Center seeing more than 6,200 people come through its doors!
Designers during Metropolitan Community College Student Night, as well at two OFW Designer Showcases, competed for nightly prizes! Emerging designers were scored by an Omaha Fashion Week Selection Panel composed of David Scott, Nanci Stephenson, Rick Carey, Barb Trout, Dan Richters, and Chloe Firestone. Featured designers were scored by a Selection Panel composed of Nick Huff, Vanessa Barrett, Denise Ervin, Brett Foster, and Jenny Pool. The panels scored designs based on the creativity and innovation of the collection as well as overall presentation.
Top scores were tallied to determine the winner for the nightly awards. We are excited to announce the top designer for each night!
