Snowfall didn’t stop the final showcase of Omaha Fashion Week’s Spring 2019 season on Saturday evening! Guests arrived at Omaha Design Center for the sold out GILDED Featured Designer Showcase. DJ Crabrangucci supplied high energy during the Pretty In Patina Pre-Party, as fashion fans shopped the Pop-Up Shop Market! Some lucky ticket holders were able to snag an appointment at the Surface Styling Bar powered by Xenon Academy for complimentary updo’s before they sold out!

The red carpet was buzzing as guests found the perfect angle and snapped their photo on the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet! VIP ticket holders were treated to extra pampering in the Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge, with signature cocktails from the Absolut Elyx VIP Bar and hors d’oeuvres from JAMS Catering. As attendees made their way to their seats, models lined up backstage, getting ready to walk the runway for a full house. Alexandra Stone of KETV NewsWatch7 guided the evening, kicking off the first collection.

Headliner Barb Trout opened the evening with her collection influenced by iconic historic silhouettes, volume and space. To kick off the Featured Designer portion of the evening, Pattern & Shape showed vivid colors and lively patterns in their children’s ready-to-wear collection. Abigail Faith revived simpler times with her sustainably sourced collection, creating soft, unique appearances. Roger Figueroa then shared his first collection of the evening, “Freedom”, which incorporated eccentric architectural silhouettes to bring attention to suicide awareness. Rachel Pollak then brought warm red tones of autumn with diverse patterns and intentional draping in her women’s dress wear collection. J. Tierney Designs closed out the first half of the show with a fresh and fun collection inspired by 50’s and 60’s icons.

Alexandra led the evening into the intermission as guests topped off their Absolut Elyx cocktails and treated themselves to more retail therapy in the Pop-Up Shop Market! Backstage, the designers of the second half vigorously prepared their looks for the runway.

Rachel Patten brought the second half back into action with a collection that highlighted the contrast between metal and softer materials, and created strength and movement. Chic, feminine bridal wear received a contemporary twist in Mackenzie Lesiak’s collection. Only By Faith brought a women’s wear collection inspired by the vastness of the Grand Canyon, full of delicate textures and breezy silhouettes. With an emphasis on zero waste design, CJB Designs then brought a sustainable women’s wear collection to the runway, and Roger Figueroa exhibited his second collection, “Silver Sea”, featuring splashes of silver and delicately draped fabrics. Indigo Eye Designs turned heads in her closing collection, as she brought confidence and boldness to the runway with reflective sequins and diverse textures!

The energetic atmosphere at Omaha Design Center Saturday night was incomparable. Over one thousand people from all walks of life came together to celebrate fashion and the arts right here in Omaha, Nebraska. Thank you all for a great season! See you in August!
