As Omaha Fashion Week is quickly approaching (exactly ONE WEEK away), we thought you might enjoy learning a bit more about the designers that make this event possible! Next Monday will be our Bridal, Children’s, and Sister Cities showcase.

Designers you can expect to see on this night include:

Sister cities

The Omaha Sister Cities Association (OSCA) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit 501(c)3 organization promoting citizen diplomacy between Omaha and six sister cities located in Europe, Asia and Latin America. OSCA enhances our community’s global awareness through cultural, educational, humanitarian and economic development connections. They will be showcasing 12 total pieces. There will be two traditional looks for every city.

Kingdom Unlimited is designed by Isabel Muziva. Isabel has always had a love for fashion and aspires to improve her skills through OFW. She is excited to get her clothes on the runway and into the public eye. Her collection will feature global prints and typical western wear fabric.

Kaitlyn is an Omaha native although currently, she lives in New York City and will be attending her third year at Parsons The New School For Design. This is her first time designing children’s wear. “I wanted to create a sophisticated yet easy to wear kids line of clothing that isn’t too bright and crazy, but still fun for the girls.” Kaitlyn has previously shown collections at Omaha Fashion Week, L.A. STYLE Fashion Week, and was also selected as one of the 15 leading designers representing Parsons to compete in the annual Fusion Fashion Show.

Caleb Hanner of LeRoy Designs is currently a student at Iowa State. Caleb was featured in our student show case in March, and hopes to continue to learn and improve his design career through Omaha Fashion Week. He will be showing a bridal collection August 17th. “My vision for this bridal line is going to have the balance of both a vintage and modern look.”

Quite-A-Riot- Adrienne Anderson

Adrienne is from Omaha and will be showing a Bridal Trouseau collection. Her inspiration for this collection comes from American quilt piecing and classic silhouettes. She has received her Master’s from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in Textile and Fashion Design. Previously, Adrienne has shown collections in Omaha Fashion Week, Kansas City Fashion Week, many UNL fashion shows, and the International Textile & Apparel Association’s garment competition.

Jessica Lynn- Jessica Collins

Jessica Lynn

Jessica is from the small town of Sargent, Nebraska. She is a self-taught designer who began creating clothing first for her daughter, and then went on to make other pieces for other mothers, and has since grown.  Jessica’s collection will be an enchanted one with inspiration from the 1980’s movie Labyrinth. “I wanted to create dresses that little girls dream of,” she mentioned when talking about her vision for the collection.

Make sure to get your tickets here to see these amazing designers  on August 17th! All ages show. Doors open at 6:00 pm, show starts at 8:00 pm. Tickets range from $40 to $80 in price. Don’t miss out on our Bridal, Childrens, and Sister Cities showcase, it will be a fun filled night!
