Omaha Fashion Week is inspired by an amazing lineup of Emerging, Featured, and Headlining Designers who will be showcasing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night.
Emerging Designers are either brand new to the OFW runway, student designers, or veteran designers trying out a completely new method of creation. They will explore themes of nostalgia, revival of youth, and societal issues.
Featured Designers are experts at their craft who will showcase high-quality, ready-to-buy looks on the runway. They are inspired by themes of luxury, upcycling, and honoring cultural heritage.
Each season we have the pleasure of working with a new group of incredibly talented professionals and students in the hair and makeup industry to help bring our designer’s inspirations to life on the runway.
The Omaha Fashion Week Beauty Alliance allows aspiring students and established professionals to explore their creativity and expand their portfolio by executing unique hair and makeup looks that they might not have the opportunity to do in schools or on everyday clients.
Omaha Fashion Week Beauty Alliance led by SOHO Hair Academy is sponsored by REF Stockholm and Ignite Beauty Supply.
We are thrilled to announce our newest designer equity program where YOU can support the prosperity of designers every season at Omaha Fashion Week.
Former OFW Producer Brook Hudson and Casting Director and Owner of Develop Model Management, Alyssa Dilts, invite YOU to support our local designers! These two long-time friends have collaborated for many years on programs that enrich the Omaha fashion scene. They share a passion for supporting designers in the earliest stage of their development which has led to collaborations such as Omaha Fashion Camp, and now the OFW Investor’s Circle.
Today OFW announced long-time designer Buf Reynolds will lead the organization as Producer. Reynolds is taking over the role from Brook Hudson, who had led the organization since 2011. “Buf is probably the only person in Omaha who has been around OFW longer than I have. She has been involved in the organization in some capacity since its inception in 2008,” Hudson said. “In fact, she was producing her own underground fashion shows with other local designers many years before OFW came on the scene.”
After nearly 14 years at the helm of Omaha Fashion Week, I am stepping down. I am very excited to hand the reigns of this great organization over to a dear friend and long-time designer, Buf Reynolds. Buf is probably the one person in Omaha who has been around OFW longer than me. She has been on our runway since the very beginning in 2008. In fact, she was producing her own shows with other local designers long before OFW was on the scene. What’s next for me? I want to put more effort into helping designers directly. My friend Alyssa Dilts and I have teamed up to form the OFW Investors Circle to provide unrestricted grants to OFW designers.
