Omaha Fashion Week’s Spring 2024 season of fashion and audacity kicked off with the future generations of fashion showing us their creations, featuring high school-age programs from around the state and students in the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Textiles, Merchandising, and Fashion Design Program.

Omaha Fashion Week is highlighting themes of reckless self-expression during our Spring 2024 AUDACIOUS Season. As we focus on fashion-for-good we honor the audacity it takes to use our voices to create meaningful change in our communities.

Guests arrived to the Omaha Design Center and rushed to take photos by FotoFunSpot on the Milan Laser Red Carpet, and enjoyed music from Herricane Cole.

VIP Guests were greeted by valet, posed on the Milan Laser Red Carpet, then found their premium seats along the Omaha Fashion Week Runway, received valet parking, and complimentary hors d'oeuvres from Pleasure Your Palate.

Sarah Fili of KETV hosted our show with grace and attitude. She was styled by the incredible, Maddie Graham, better known as, The Frugal Fox, with entirely secondhand and vintage clothing.

We witnessed the beginning of many young creatives’ journey into design during our Student Night Designer Showcase. Over the years, many who become regular Omaha Fashion Week designers start as high school students. It is always so inspiring to see the young generations of designers debut on our runway. We just can’t help but envision them as future Emerging, Featured, and eventually Headlining designers.

The first half of our show started with high-school-age fashion design programs from all over Nebraska including; 4-H; Duchesne Academy of the Sacred Heart Fashion Program; Nebraska Family, Career & Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); Kent Bellows Mentoring Program at the Joslyn Art Museum; Omaha South High Magnet School; Westside High School; Bluebird Cultural Initiative.

During intermission, house music kept the energy up and attendees enjoyed looking through their Omaha FASHION Magazine.

Lights dimmed and guests awaited the next segment of collections from design students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, featuring Streewear, Semi-formal, Avant Garde, and Evening Wear categories.

The night ended on a high note with the presentation of the Mary Mitchell Fashion Excellence Award to student designer, Jaxson Gilner. Congratulations, we loved every look from your presentation!

What a fun night to kick off our designer showcases! Let’s continue the week with more captivating collections.
