Over 700 fashion fans turned up at the Omaha Design Center yesterday evening to support local cancer survivors. Every model on the runway was a cancer survivor! Several models traveled from other cities to participate with 140 of their peers ranging in age from three to 88!

Proceeds from ticket sales benefit the Inner Beauty Salon at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center. Inner Beauty helps those undergoing treatment for various cancers and medical conditions in dealing with cosmetic issues related to their disease, such as hair loss or the need for prosthetics. Many of these items are not covered by insurance and Inner Beauty provides them free of charge.

Models for the evening were dressed by local boutiques: Younkers, SKYZ, All About Me, Bliss Boutique, Pretty In Patina, Posh Princess, Old Navy, Chicos, Mainstream Boutique, Dress Barn, NJ & Co. HUSH la Boutique, Christopher & Banks, Christian Nobel Furs.

Some highlights from the evening were a wife rushing to greet her 88 year old husband as he walked down the runway for a quick kiss and one of the youngest models rocking the runway on her walker with mom in tow. Check out photos below.

Over the past six years Omaha Fashion Week has been able to donate over $25,000 to Inner Beauty.
