We have the pleasure of hosting another virtual fashion conversation on February 28th at 10am CST with our friends at POLIMODA, a top fashion institute worldwide. Located in the heart of Florence, Italy, this discussion will showcase the most unique experiences students can have while studying abroad. Conversations between Florentine professor Niccolò and Canadian Italian professor Davide will explain how the leap to Europe can change your trajectory in the fashion industry.
Niccolò will touch on his expertise in leather goods, manufacturing, and artisans in Italy. Davide will highlight his own experience as a young professional leaving Canada to come to Europe, and understanding true luxury, fashion history and being immersed in beauty and excellence while in Florence. Both gentleman will share with us, the growth they have seen in international students and the benefits attending of a school with rich variety of multicultural students, which leads to the development of cultural intelligence for young students.

ABOUT THE SPEAKERS…
Niccolo Sbaraglia is an economist specialized in statistics; a production manager in luxury accessories, also specialized in product communication. After eight years of running his own two companiesin New York City, T-project showroom and PLUMA- ITALIA, accepted the role of professor teaching the subject Craft to Business at Polimoda Fashion Institute in Florence. Also trend forecaster-leather jackets for LGM KERING group. While managing PLUMA, also holds the position of Leading Teacher at Business and Communication department at Polimoda Fashion Institute. Teaching both undergraduate and master courses with a focus on production, craftsmanship, and statistics. An amazing experience achieved making it possible to transfer his know-how to international students, receiving in turn a great amount of energy from them. Polimoda is an international school where different cultures constantly influence each other; both students and teachers see a great deal of innovation and participation in the creative process because of the unique mix of cultures, identities and attitudes of the community. Born and raised in Florence where art and fashion were founded, believesin the power of art and fashion to bring about dialogue to all cultures of the world.
Davide Lettieri has worked as a Buyer and Retail Director both in Berlin and in Montreal. As menswear buyer at luxury retail The Corner Berlin he worked with labels including Balenciaga, Saint Laurent and Valentino. He later freelanced at the Haider Ackermann and Raf Simons Showrooms in Paris. In Canada, his retail expertise was developed at womenswear label Judith & Charles as Head Buyer and Retail Director. Today, he is teaching at Polimoda and leads student projects in Business of Fashion and the Fashion Retail Management Masters in collaboration with Gucci. He studied at Concordia University in Montreal where he graduated with distinction in commerce, and where he also achieved a certificate in The Fundamentals of Journalism. During his years as an undergrad he studied languages in Florence, Italy and in Salamanca, Spain. He is currently earning a Graduate Diploma in Leadership at McGill University.
