The theme for last night’s Omaha Fashion Week’s showcase was Ignis. Latin for fire, brightness, and passion, Thursday’s featured designers presented collections full of rich colors and vibrant inspiration. Attendees brought the fire with fierce looks on the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet, and Omaha Design Center was abuzz with guests as soon as doors opened.
VIP guests sipped the night’s Absolut Elyx signature cocktail in the Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge, while Elegant Edge Catering served mouth-watering appetizers.
In the Pop-Up Shop Market, Pretty in Patina’s retail space was ablaze with fiery lights to match the night’s theme. DJ Angie Spence turned up the heat as she played upbeat music during the Pretty in Patina Pre-Party.
Guests could truly treat themselves to a full makeover, as the Surface Styling Bar powered by Xenon Academy styled guests’ hair to perfection, and retailer Lash Goddess the Spa offered lash extension services before the show! Everyone was sure to stop by the Absolut Elyx Pop-Up to sample their luxury vodka and snag a coupon for their online Elyx Boutique.
The show began with headliner STATURE’s incredible collection of business wear for tall women, and themes of female empowerment brought cheers from the audience. The Allure Med Spa Runway to Beauty was soon overtaken by its smallest models, wearing colorful children’s wear pieces by Pattern + Shape. The cuteness continued as the next collection from Rachel Andrew showcased hand-quilted children’s wear with playful patterns. Judy Bales Design displayed incredible works of art, each so unique on the runway. Closing out the first half of the show, AD Delgado amazed the audience with a collection of dramatic and elegant gowns, suits, and children’s wear.
Guests returned to the Pop-Up Shop Market to shop its wall to wall collection of retailers during intermission. They visited the Omaha Fashion Week Pop-Up to purchase designer goods and OFW merchandise after grabbing a delicious signature cocktail from the Absolut Elyx Drink Wall.
ROOM 22 kicked off the second half of the show with a collection of colorful designs, complete with dramatic hair and makeup looks by the OFW Beauty Alliance. A boho-western inspired collection from Nokota.Style grabbed the audience’s attention with unexpected details. Next, Aida Stenholm’s colorful collection of accessories and garments from Peru wowed the crowd. Headliner Borris Powell closed out the show with elegant garments, incredible detailing, and beautiful accessories!
The audience was captivated by the final model march and noted the looks of the night that they would purchase during Omaha Fashion Week’s Shop the Runway Sunday on August 25th!
