Omaha Fashion Week continued last night with its MOVEMENT Featured Designer Showcase. Movement, defined as a principle of design used to create the look and feeling of action, is meant to guide the viewer’s eye throughout a work of art.

DJ Crabrangucci set the tone for the evening with energizing beats during the Pretty in Patina Pre-Party! Guests treated themselves to beautifully styled up-do's by professionals at the Surface Hair Styling Station. The H&H Premier Vehicle Showcase provided the opportunity for luxury car shopping, while the Borsheims Red Carpet provided guests with the chance to have their photos snapped in glamorous style. VIP ticketholders had access to the Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge, where they were able to indulge in delicious hors d'oeuvres from Brandeis Catering and The Downtown Club, and sip on complimentary Absolut Elyx cocktails.

The energetic Chinh Doan of KETV Newswatch 7 greeted guests as the evening opened, and headliner Denise Ervin Designs took the Allure Med Spa Runway to Beauty with a classic, neutral toned men’s and women’s formal wear collection. K:13 provided dramatic volume and minimalistic colors, as aspects of technology were brought to life in her collection. Hannah Caroline Couture combined luxurious embellishments, dark hues, and textured fabric in her dramatic yet elegant collection. Meanwhile, models in the collection by Q Lui rocked women’s street wear clothing inspired by the ocean and made out of eco-friendly fabrics.

During the intermission, guests shopped the Pop-Up Shop Market and added a little sparkle with manicures from the Borsheims Sparkle and Shine Nail Bar

Bringing guests back into the second half of the show was a collection by Ideas from the North, featuring a collection inspired by raising children to be their own unique self. Parodi Designs fiercely took over the runway next, as beauty and danger played hand in hand with unique motifs, fabrications, and volume. Crystal Brakhage Designs continued the show with her collection full of unlikely fabrics and patterns combining together to create show stopping, head turning looks. Headliner SuShe by J. Tracey closed out the evening to a full house, with a fun, versatile collection representing women of all body types, as fashion truly has no boundaries.
