Aura, Latin for air, was the theme for Wednesday night’s Omaha Fashion Week’s emerging designers. Guests seemed to float in as doors opened and OmahaDesign Center came to life. Many dressed the theme, wearing airy gowns and ethereal colors, and everyone made sure to snap a photo of their look on the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet.

In the Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge, guests mingled while sipping their delicious Absolut Elyx signature drinks, The Coral Royale, named after the Pantone color of the year. Jams served delicious food to VIP’s, who kept returning for seconds.

In the Pop-Up Shop Market, the Surface Styling Bar powered by Xenon Academy styled guests' hair before the show. True to theme, Pretty in Patina’s shop was decorated to look heavenly, and was filled with breathtaking designer goods. Pretty in Patina Pre-Party entertainment DJ Shor-T had guests tapping their feet to uplifting beats while they shopped.

As the lights dimmed and guests took their seats, headliner Hannah Jensen’s collection of fun and light pieces started down the Allure Med Spa Runway to Beauty. The next collection by Anna Leigh captured the effects of smoking on the lungs with voluminous pieces full of meaning. MAANG by Yasi Fayal brought the runway down to earth with a beautiful collection inspired by the Middle East. The music picked up and colorful clothing appeared on the runway from Trans* Clothing Company’s line of bright looks and full silhouettes. The drama increased as Kyrie Eleison Couture’s cathedral-inspired collection appeared, full of gold chains, rich colors, and structured garments.

House music played as intermission began and guests returned to the Pop-Up Shop Market. Attendees purchased designer goods and Omaha Fashion Weekmerchandise, and made sure to visit the Absolut Elyx Pop-Up to snag cocktails from their peek-a-boo drink wall!

As the second half of the show kicked off, Rachel Pollak Designs’ collection of butterfly inspired ready-to-wear looks wowed the audience. KLYNNE’s line of elegant white gowns truly embodied the theme, aura. Kat Burdette reminded us that autumn will be arriving soon with a collection of cozy knitwear full of texture and unique design. Headliner Lauren Nicole closed out the show with an inspired collection of gowns, complete with intricate details, full skirts, and florals.

The show closed with a full model march where audience members were sure to note their favorite looks of the night in order to purchase them during Shop the Runway Sunday on August 25th!
