Omaha Fashion Week's next season is just around the corner, and we're thrilled to share more about our amazing lineup of headliners!
Korinne Zimmerman is the founder and designer of Zaftzig Kitty. When she struggled to find garments that would comfortably fit her tall and curvy body, she set out to make her own clothing. Zimmerman’s fashion career all started when she bought her first sewing machine in 1997. From there, she went on to graduate in 2013 from the fashion design program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In August 2017, Zimmerman won the Omaha Fashion Week Emerging Designer competition with her line “Playful Professional”, an impressive collection that mixed business attire and eclectic accent pieces.
Zimmerman strives to provide beautifully crafted, high quality, and in-style garments for plus size women, a group that often gets under served in the fashion industry. She intends to create clothing that is appealing to women just like her, and that will fit the body properly and comfortably. We look forward to having her collection on the runway!
