Fella's mood board for his upcoming collection
Fella Vaughn attended the University of Nebraska- Lincoln and earned his BA in fashion textiles and design. He's been showcasing his line at Omaha Fashion Week for years and has developed a line of what he calls “after six” clothing. He hopes to start a men’s line and begin manufacturing his clothing in a larger scale. This season his collection will be accented by hats from OFW designer Margie Trembley.
Making fabric selections
Fella began designing his latest collection by looking for inspiration in music and fabric. In most cases, he begins by finding the main fabric for the collection and searching for additional inspiration images afterwards. This collection is inspired by Japanese pop music and color and he’ll be using natural fabrics, which he prefers because they are easier to work with.
