Omaha Fashion Week's next season is just around the corner, and we're thrilled to share more about our amazing lineup of designers!
Anisha KillsEnemy, the designer behind Anisha Fashionista, has alway had a passion for fashion. With a Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Clothing & Design from University of Nebraska-Lincoln, Anisha's brand targets the fashion savvy, modern woman who wants to make a bold statement.
What are your personal goals or goals for your brand?
My personal goals include competing on Project Runway and/or producing my own line of clothing. I would love to own a boutique where I can sell ready-to-wear and also offer couture items upon request.
Describe your favorite project that you have worked on.
I absolutely love the dress that I made for Amanda Kreft for the Fashion Impact Awards (September 2017). It was challenging, it was fun, and it turned out beautifully!
Describe the collection you are creating and where you found its inspiration.
This collection is feminine, flirty and sassy. With a focus on the season that I was designing for, I chose fabrics and colors that I feel really embody Spring.
In what ways is this collection similar or different than your past work?
This collection is different than any other past work because I have never designed for a mass audience. Most of my previous designs have been made specifically for an individual based on their requests.
What sort of design elements can we expect from you this season?
There is a great mix of patterns and solids as well as a range of textures and silhouettes. There will be satin, denim, jersey and a few other surprise materials.
