Omaha Fashion Week is thrilled to announce the packed lineup of designers selected to showcase during our upcoming Fall 2020 season, taking place August 27th-29th! While this season will look a little different, including a combination of in-person and digital runway shows, we are already so excited and inspired by our designers! EMERGING DESIGNERS (in alphabetical order)
Anai V by Ana Hoult: Influenced by the Spanish Flamenco dance, this collection is fiery and eye-catching and captures an entrancing night on the dance floor.
Carsen Monaco: This collection, entitled Hard Romantic, represents the idea of experiencing life in its fullest and taking it all in at 100 mph. This passionate statement is blended using softer, feminine materials and silhouettes combined with a powerful use of black and white.
Charmaine Miranda: Inspired by Joshua Tree National Park, the inquisitive viewer will find this collection desiring to explore nature. Mirroring the aesthetics of the Joshua trees, known for their resilience, valuable properties, and beauty, pieces will include volume, textures, and strong silhouettes.
Cicada Camp Co. by MacKenzie Greckel: Walking a thin line between avant-garde and street style, this collection features bright and intense color schemes mixed with minimal yet complex pieces. Displaying a love for textiles in the manipulation of knotting, dying, and reconstructing fabrics, this line celebrates the strength of the Millennial generation and the push for a healthy earth.
ELEM by M.L. by Makayla Leiting: Based on themes of delicacy, transition, and freedom, this urban boho collection features free-flowing clothing and interesting prints, with pieces meant for ease of wear and versatility.
Elle Glo Apparel by Lauren Glowacki: Moved by the current coronavirus outbreak, this luxe streetwear collection was created to provide "stay at home style" that gives its wearer confidence and motivation while remaining comfortable and soft. Loungewear styles are incorporated with utility-style vests, harnesses, and face masks.
Elle Lesiak: Tangerine Dreams features high-end women's daywear inspired by oranges and the western lifestyle. Featuring big sleeves, oversized dresses, and balloon pants, this collection embodies a woman who is full of adventure.
Karma LiLoLa by Alej Bustillos: Nature reclaims architecture in this collection that juxtaposes the structure of the urban landscape with organic etherealness.
Lacuna Grove by Kira Knaack: This genderless wedding wear collection plays with transparency, iridescence, and traditional menswear details in soft, shiny fabrics to evoke an ethereal feeling.
Lina Willey: Titled The Suburban Subconscious, this collection delves into the psychology behind “the American Dream” by exploring subconscious dualities that often hold tension in suburban spaces, such as work vs. play, individuality vs. uniformity, and working-class vs. business-class.
liv by Olivia Wagner: Desert Oasis is a six-piece collection inspired by the shapes, silhouettes, and color story of deserts. Playing with asymmetrical lines, unique shapes, and movement, this line mixes pieces that lean towards avant-garde with others that are ready to wear.
Malia Fortun: This light and elegant eveningwear collection features fun elements like bright oranges, vibrant pinks, and hand-painted patterns.
Matt McLoughlin: Incorporating a wide variety of fabrics and textures, this collection evokes an intimate and stimulating experience, going beyond the visual and exploring the wearer’s sense of touch. Animal prints and textures intertwine to visualize a feral animalistic savage quality of human nature that is often held below the surface.

Alexia Rees by Rachel Andrew: This collection combines a love of quilted clothing with the galaxy to create a totally unique way to view the universe. Pieces feature imaginations of the Milky Way pieced together to form a stunning spiral, constellations floating on the night sky, or the moon as a dress.
Anna Hall: Featuring unique textile techniques and a sophisticated yet fun color palette, this collection draws inspiration from organic shapes found in modern art, with elements including hand-dyed cotton, braided fabric strips, and quilting.
Duane Topping: Leaning towards a thematic approach using Alice in Wonderland undertones, this collection plays with the idea that things are not always what they seem, and if you begin to chase stubborn notions of normal, you might find yourself down the rabbit hole.
Hannah Caroline Couture by Hannah Nodskov: This modern-romantic collection of all black wedding gowns includes materials like stretch velvet that aren't traditionally used in bridal. Featuring Victorian gothic elements, pieces include bridal jumpsuits, detachable overskirts, and other accessories such as veils and capes.
MAANG by Yasi Fayal: Titled The Layers of Protection, this contemporary avant-garde collection features rigid silhouettes and voluminous designs that bring to mind notions of protection amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic.
Makaylee Gayed Designs: Based on a personal journey through depression, this collection features men's, women's, and childrenswear with the point that depression does not discriminate. Showcasing a gamut from all black to a reflective rainbow, pieces visualize a progression of vulnerability and growth.
Nokota.Style by Tonya Pesch: All about movement, this collection pays special attention to the flow of its garments as they move down the runway. With a western 70's vibe, pieces mix texture with leather, and feature fringed vests, tie-dye fabrics, and snakeskin prints.
Rachel Pollak Designs: Pulling inspiration from uniform styles, this collection shows appreciation for the first responders amid the current world events. The visual theme will be an elegant, powerful, and feminine twist on the power style of first responder uniforms.
Roger Figueroa: Titled FORCES OF NATURE, this collection is inspired by the way the earth is reshaping itself during the COVID-19 pandemic, healing and growing while we stay home. Featuring a color scheme that represents the beaches, forest, and landscapes, this line brings awareness to the details that make our planet a unique place.
RoninScar by Alexander Scarpello: Titled The Zone, this collection is a story about personal relationships told through the lens of Chernobyl's history and nuclear disaster. The line features layered looks, textured fabrics, and a gradual decay throughout the course of the show.
Vivi Design Studio by Claire Thomas-Morgan: Rooted in Phillip Pullman’s His Dark Materials, this collection examines our duality with animal nature and arctic Northern exploration. Centered around characters that are strong and fierce but deeply loving and loyal, the line is created as a contemporary interpretation of classic English scholars and multiverse fantasy.
Zaftig Kitty by Korinne Zimmerman: This collection is influenced by the current coronavirus pandemic and will focus on pattern, texture, and lines in a post-apocalyptic design style.
