What a great week we had with Alyssa Dilts of Develop Model Management as we partnered to produce Omaha Fashion Camp this week! We worked with little kids ages 6-10 in the morning and teens in the afternoon.

The goal of camp is to show kids some things about a variety of careers in the fashion industry. In addition to learning basic hand & machine sewing, the kids learned about sketching, modeling, photography and even got to catch up with Camp alumna and LA stylist, Molly O’Brien on Zoom.

The week culminated with a virtual fashion show where campers presented a garment they made during the week, along with a mood board detailing their inspiration for the garment and complimentary sketches. We are excited to share that our teen campers will show their work on the main OFW runway August 29 at the VIP Finale! Congrats kids! Head over to the Omaha Fashion Camp blog to see the highlights from the week!

If you have a kid interested in fashion, check out our Kids Rule Fashion Show coming up September 27. This is for kids ages 5-12 and includes personal styling session with Kids Rule stylist, Beth Reher, where your child will get to pick out a garment at one of our partner retailers that he or she will wear in the fashion show. Your child gets to keep the garment after the show as part of the registration fee! Additionally, kids get a runway modeling lesson from Alyssa of Develop Model Management before the runway show. We end the afternoon with a little dance party, snacks and mocktails, and pop up shop put on by the kids at Acton Academy's Kids Business Fair. The whole day is for kids, by kids!

We have a 15% off registration offer on the Omaha Fashion Camp website right now.  Just join our email newsletter on the homescreen pop up and you will get that discount. Then head over to the Kids Rule Website to register your kid - use your code at check out for the discount.
