SHOW Time and Date

Wednesday, February 26th - Students must arrive to the Omaha Design Center, 1502 Cuming Street Omaha, NE 68102, no later than 5:00pm if they are planning on getting hair and makeup done on site, and no later than 5:30pm CST otherwise. Show begins at 8:00 pm CST.

Walking the Runway

High school students will be presenting in the first half of the show, pre-intermission. Each student will walk THREE SEPARATE TIMES!

  • The first walk is an individual model walk showing each student’s look; each student will walk and pose at the end of the runway.

  • The second walk is a collection walk showing all students that presented for whichever school is currently being shown; students will NOT pose at the end of the runway.

  • The third and final walk is the finale. ALL high school students walking in the first half of the show will walk; students will NOT pose at the end of the runway.

  • Reminder that each student will walk THREE TIMES in total.

  • After the final march of the first half, High School Students are free to leave!

  • Once a person leaves backstage, they will not be allowed back in until after things have cleared out.

Hair and Makeup

SoHo Hair Academy will be on hand to provide hair and makeup styling for students before shows! To work with the hair and makeup teams, students will need to come with clean dry hair and foundational makeup applied. We encourage all high school students to arrive fully dressed and ready to walk the runway; this allows ample preparation time for students to show their best!

Where do I go / WHat to do Upon Arrival?

  • Everything during the week of shows will take place on site at the Omaha Design Center.

  • Talent Entrance is located at the main entrance of the Omaha Design Center. These doors are located to the left of the patio outside the Omaha Design Center.

  • Parking at the Omaha Design Center is limited. Please park on the street or at a meter to avoid getting towed. Extra parking can be found behind the ODC at the Fairfield Inn and Suites. Use code “DOW” for free parking. DO NOT park behind the Holiday Inn; your car WILL be towed.

  • There will be a check-in table just inside the door. If someone’s name is not on the backstage list, they must talk to a team member.

  • Bring snacks and a phone charger to get you through the day. OFW will provide drink stations.

FAQ

  • WILL PHOTOS BE MADE AVAILABLE OF ME ON THE RUNWAY?

    • Our specialized and great in-house photographers, Heather and Jameson Hooton, try to get photos of every model that walks the OFW runway. You will be able to purchase from them on their webpage. (link will be available closer to show)

  • WILL I BE ABLE TO GET CHANGED BACKSTAGE?

    • Yes, we have changing tents backstage and bathrooms as well. However, we advise that all students arrive already dressed in your garments to ensure that you are prepared and ready to walk in the first half.

  • WHERE DO I PARK?

    • Please refer to the information above. First try the parking directly behind the building; if there is none, look for street parking on 15th or 16th. Just be sure to NOT PARK AT THE HOLIDAY INN! They tow if you are not renting a room there. Carpooling or taking a lyft/Uber are also great options!

  • CAN I BRING A SNACK WITH ME?

    • We advise all students to eat prior to arrival at the ODC. Students are more than welcome to bring a light snack and a beverage to stay hydrated. Pizza and spa water will be provided as well.

  • SHOULD I BRING ANYTHING WITH ME?

    • Please only bring the essentials you will need for the evening. We advise bringing your phone, a snack, makeup for touch-ups if needed, and nothing more than needed. Please do not bring any valuables with you, as we are not responsible for lost or stolen items.
