What happens after the model call?

We upload your information and provide it to designers to use to cast their shows. You will be notified by the end of December if you have been cast. If you are not cast, you may not be notified. There are often last- minute changes, so you may receive an email after the first round of casting.

What is the time requirement to be an OFW Model?

You must make yourself available for rehearsal on February 25th + shows during the week of February 26th - March 1st in order to be considered. Rehearsal is at the Omaha Design Center at 1502 Cuming Street Omaha NE 68102. Please, park on the street to avoid being towed. There is a possibility that time might need to be taken out of school to prepare on the day of show. However, preparation will begin no earlier than 4:00pm on the day of show.

•New models (walked in fewer than three consecutive shows) will be required to attend Model Boot Camp over Zoom on February 12th at 6:00pm. You will receive more information via email, including a Zoom link. This is free and lasts about one hour.

•All models will have at least one fitting with their designer(s) leading up to the shows.

•During shows, all models will begin hair/make up no earlier than 4:00pm on the day of show and all styling will take place at the Omaha Design Center. Models walking in the first half must be dressed by 7:45pm for 8:00pm show time. Models must arrive with a foundational look and may attend virtual tutorials by the OFWBA to prepare.

•Models may be asked to walk for more than one designer in the week.

***In addition to these items, your designer may ask you to participate in photo shoots, team meetings, and multiple fittings. We ask our designers to be respectful of model's schedules by planning their extra activities around OFW-required events and after the school/work day.

If I’m not selected in December, will I have another chance?

We frequently have models drop out between casting and the shows, which means there is a possibility for you to be slotted in one of these spots. Our next season will take place in August 2025, and we will have another Model Call with a new set of designers choosing models.
