Omaha Fashion Week’s Spring 2020 season continued last night with our ARISE Emerging Designer Showcase! Meaning to begin to occur or to exist; to come into being or to attention, the ARISE Showcase allowed designers who were new to the industry to bring attention to their latest collections, full of intricate, detailed work. Attendees were dressed to the nines as they entered the Omaha Design Center, and quickly made their way to the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet to snap a photo in their fashionable outfits.
Spotted in the Made in Omaha Pop-Up Market, guests got their hair styled at the Capitol Style Bar Powered by Aquage before the show and headed to the Omaha Fashion Week Pop-Up to shop the merchandise. Over at the Dreams MedSpa giveaway table, hopeful guests entered to win $250 in spa services.
Guests took their seats and a hush fell over the audience as amazing formal wear by headliner Little Jo Designs, marched the Allure Med Spa Runway to Beauty. Emcee James Wilcox of KETV NewsWatch 7 greeted the audience and introduced a collection by Cloudbake to stage. Colorful, handknit looks with reflective threads made up the sustainable collection. Jena DeBaker’s collection of bold looks in red, orange, and yellow tones kept the energy up as it took the runway by storm. Kyrie Eleison Couture’s collection enchanted attendees with its dramatic silhouettes in jewel tones. Earthy, beautiful looks appeared on the runway next from Cassandra Elysse Designs. To close the first half of the show, Lauren Glowacki Designs showcased a collection of vividly colored garments transitioning with the color story of a sunset.
During intermission, DJ Maren Saddler kept the atmosphere upbeat as VIP guests made their way to the Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge. VIP guests were transported into a fairytale as fruits, greenery, and bold decor in Absolut Juice’s VIP Garden Bar. Attendees were encouraged to sample the night’s Absolut Juice cocktail and snack on hors d’oeuvres prepared by Save the Date Catering.
The showcase began again with “Bricklane to Buckingham” by Lillian Lois Designs, bringing to mind London and diversity in dress. Creagan Creative continued to inspire the crowd to daydream of travel with a resort wear collection in coral and gold featuring a lobster motif. Hannah Kristina Designs showcased beautiful evening wear that made a statement on the runway. Bright colors and quality construction followed suit as a collection by Samuel Macke took the audience’s attention. RoninScar’s collection changed the tone of the runway, showcasing the range of human emotion in his line of streetwear with androgynous silhouettes. H.Art Studios by Lauren Hansen closed the show with a unique collection ranging from streetwear to formal in style, and leaving the audience with excitement for Shop the Runway Sunday.
As attendees made their way to the gallery for cocktails and one last photo on the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet, they discussed their looks for the last night of shows!
