We take pride in the integrity of our partnerships with locally owned businesses that uplift the fashion industry in Omaha. Millard Sewing Center is our newest addition to our OFW family, with their generous contribution to our Golden Sheers Awards packages given to one lucky winner from the Emerging and Featured designer categories each season.

The Story of Millard Sewing Center:

The history of the store goes back to the 1950's when Howard Most started working for the Singer company owned stores. Jerome, Howard's son, started working with him at the Singer store in Westroads mall in 1969. By the end of the 1970's Singer began closing the company owned stores, in favor of "Authorized Dealerships," which gave Jerome the opportunity to open Fremont Sewing Center in 1980. Howard stayed on with the Singer Company a while longer and opened Millard Sewing Center in 1981. In 1994, Jerome and his wife Cheri bought Millard Sewing Center from Howard and his wife Dolores, and in 1996 the two stores were merged under the Millard Sewing name. The store is still family owned by Brandon Most, Jerome and Cheri's son, who took ownership in 2019. The store has grown exponentially since Brandon took over in 2019, now offering a wide variety of Elna sewing machines, thread, sewing notions, parts and more.
