WEDNESDAY headliners

K.Made.It | Kenya martin

Kenya Martin recently showcased at African Fashion Week and was selected as a top designer to headline in Omaha Fashion Week.

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

After decades of modeling, I knew I wouldn’t be on the runway forever. Designing allows me to stay in fashion while building a legacy and preparing for retirement. What motivates me is giving emerging talent the opportunity to shine. I love mentoring aspiring models, helping them build confidence, walk the runway, and even take steps toward getting signed with modeling agencies.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

My Fall 2025 collection, The Beauty of Africa: Tribal Radiance, is inspired by my deep love for African fashion, fabric, and the meaning behind my name—Kenya, a symbol of strength, beauty, and cultural pride. It features bold colors and the richness of African heritage, designed to celebrate the power and elegance of our roots. It’s an honor to finally bring this vision to life on a runway I’ve long respected and dreamed of being part of.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

Since launching K.Made.It in July 2023, I’ve worked nonstop traveling across the country and showcasing my designs in nearly 20 fashion shows. Being selected to show at Omaha Fashion Week—recognized as the fourth-largest fashion week in the nation—is a powerful step forward in my design career. This opportunity means everything to me, and I know it will help elevate my brand and open new doors for my future.

Mayed by Rey | reyanna moore

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I taught myself to sew in high school while watching Project Runway reruns with my mom. My motivation comes and goes, but always comes back to an intrinsic need to create with my hands.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

This collection is inspired by the ebb and flow and natural rhythms of life. Learning to let go of my own grip and embrace uncertainty is the driving force of my art and my life.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

Omaha Fashion Week was the first instance in which I began to take myself seriously as a designer, and for that, I am so grateful. After taking a long (to me, 2 years is a long time) break from sewing, I hope to rediscover my love for designing.

THURSDAY headliners

CASAREZ | AMANDA CASAREZ

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I’ve always considered myself an artist first, a designer second. I look at fashion as an art, as a way to express myself and my creativity. My designs, like art, evolve with my experiences, and as I have grown in both age and in my craft, I’ve learned to embrace the evolution of my work, which initially was very feminine and “well-behaved” and has evolved to tomboy grunge. I love it!

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

My aesthetic has evolved into a modern representation of skater boy fits that embody the rebelliousness of the early 90s and carefree vibes from back home (Cali).

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

OFW will help to generate exposure for potential sales and store placements in Omaha.

RONINSCAR | ALEX SCARPELLO

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

One of my main motivations is pure curiosity in the sense that something new can be discovered, or something old can be redone or tweaked to make it feel brand new. My first inspiration was problem solving and trying to figure out how to translate my ideas into physical objects, and fashion design felt like the best possible way.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

This collection is a reintroduction to who RoninScar is and a look at what is coming in the future. I've thought a lot about what key designs represent me from my past shows in order to use them for new pieces. Overall, this collection will be a representation of the past, present, and future.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

It has been 2 years since I last showed at Omaha Fashion Week, so this feels like a return after a hiatus. I did not think I would ever do another show after having done it for so many years, but I hope this will reconnect me with the community and push me towards new opportunities.

FRIDAY headliners

DAN RICHTERS | DAN RICHTERS

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I realised fashion design can be a combination of my favorite mediums (drawing, painting, sculpting). That's what got me started. Discovering designers like Alexander McQueen, Thierry Mugler, Walter Van Beirendonck, and Julien MacDonald was among my first inspirations. I continue to be inspired by the constant creativity of designers and of nature.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

This Fall 2025 collection is inspired by insect exoskeletons- how they so artfully fit together and form dynamic shapes.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

I appreciate the opportunity to share my work on this platform. Seeing my designs come to life in this production is priceless.

LILOUSHLINE | LILIANE AMAVI

Liliane Amavi recently showcased at African Fashion Week and was selected as a top designer to headline in Omaha Fashion Week.

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I’ve always seen clothing as a form of self-expression. Growing up, I loved adding personal touches to my outfits, whether it was layering in a unique way or customizing something just a bit. That creativity spark grew into a passion for designing pieces that help others feel the same confidence and individuality I felt when I styled myself. To this day, what motivates me is the power of fashion to transform not just how someone looks, but how they feel. I design to inspire confidence, boldness, and authenticity in every person who wears my pieces.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

This collection is inspired by the woman with fire in her spirit. Bold, unapologetic, and powerful. It embodies fierce femininity, unwavering confidence, and the kind of aura that turns heads before she even enters the room. Each piece is a reflection of grace, luxury, and beauty that leaves a lasting impression without saying a word.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

I’m excited to show at Omaha Fashion Week because it’s a powerful opportunity to showcase my work and connect with a community that values creativity and bold expression. Seeing my designs come to life on the runway is always a surreal experience, but more than that, it’s a chance to share my vision of fashion, to tell a story through style, and to grow as a designer. Opportunities like this push me forward, fuel my passion, and remind me why I started.

SATURDAY headliners

MICHAEL DRUMMOND | MICHAEL DRUMMOND

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I have always been drawn to the language of clothing. Clothing tells us who we aspire to be, who we are, and what is happening in the world around us. It is our stamp in time. It is a beautiful way to communicate to others without ever saying a word. This passion is what drives me to be creative, along with the joy of creating.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

A present, I have very few directions other than I plan to use almost certainly every dead stock material I have lying around my atelier.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

Omaha Fashion Week gives me the opportunity to share my work with not only the best of the Midwest but also the chance to speak with clients, makers, and fashion experts in real time. This provides my brand with crucial feedback, sales, and the chance to interact with "my tribe". It is a priceless opportunity!

POTAPENKOYANCHENKO | OLHA POTAPENKO

What inspired you to start designing? What motivates you to this day?

I’m inspired by women who don’t aim to be “perfect” — they want to be themselves. I design dresses that reflect character, freedom, and emotional power. A wedding dress isn’t just a gown — it’s her way of saying “yes” to herself, the world, and love.

What inspired your collection for OFW Fall 2025?

Again, women. American women who fell in love with Ukrainian style. They wanted to create something special by using details from ancient Ukrainian clothing and adapting them to a modern style, taking into account the taste of American women.

How will Omaha Fashion Week further you in your design career? What does this opportunity mean to you?

New acquaintances, pleasant emotions, and experiences.
