Omaha Fashion Week is thrilled to announce the packed lineup of designers selected to showcase during our upcoming Spring 2020 season, taking place February 23rd-29th!
Last week, designers pitched their ideas to a panel of industry experts brought together by OFW. The experts scored each designer and provided feedback that was used to make final selections. The designers are scored on innovation, construction, marketability, concept and the overall presentation. Keep reading for a breakdown of the week’s schedule!
Doors to Omaha Design Center open at *6:00pm every evening, show starts at *8:00pm. Join us before shows for the Omaha Fashion Week Pre-party, with live entertainment and shopping in the Pop-Up Shop Market, as well as the Omaha Fashion Week Red Carpet Experience! Plus, VIP ticket holders will have access to the **Village Pointe Aesthetic Surgery | Dreams MedSpa VIP Lounge, where they can take in all the fashion and glamour with compliment hors d’oeuvres and drinks from the Absolut VIP Bar! It all leads up to our main event: a packed showcase every night on the Allure Med Spa Runway to Beauty!

TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 25: METROPOLITAN COMMUNITY COLLEGE STUDENT NIGHT
Check out student collections from Nebraska's most talented high schools and mentoring programs during High School Student Night! View collections from Nebraska 4-H, Burke High School, Omaha South High School, Omaha Central High School, Nebraska FCCLA, Joslyn Art Museum's Kent Bellows Mentoring Program, and Joslyn's Fashion Arts Mentor Program in partnership with Yates Community Center! Before the show, OFW Producer Brook Hudson will host a Q&A panel discussion on careers in creative industries such as fashion, beauty, design, and more! Panel TBA. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26: UNL STUDENT SHOWCASE
Produced by Omaha Fashion Week in partnership with UNL's Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design (TMFD), over thirty fashion design students will collectively show almost one hundred original works on the runway and compete for four different scholarships! Additionally, the event will be staffed by student volunteers who will help run the backstage and front of house under the direction of the OFW team. This is one of the most visually interesting shows of the season!
THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 27: METHODIST SURVIVOR SHOW
Celebrate the triumph over cancer as 100+ survivors take over the runway wearing looks from local boutiques! In partnership with Methodist Hospital, part of proceeds benefit the Inner Beauty Salon at Methodist Estabrook Cancer Center, which works with cancer survivors to deal with changes to their image while undergoing treatment.
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 28: ARISE EMERGING DESIGNER SHOWCASE

Caitlin McCall: CLOUDBAKE by Caitlin McCall is inspired by the ever-changing environment. Sustainability is realized in this quality knitwear line with removable elements for seasonal versatility.
Cassandra Elysse: Cassandra Elysse's collection "Heimat", German for "homeland", pays homage to nature and her German roots. Organic, vegetable-dyed fabrics in feminine silhouettes make up this modern line.
Creagan Creative by Alyssa Creagan: Luxurious resort wear by Creagan Creative is elevated with unique textures and silhouettes in this line.
H.Art Studios by Lauren Hansen: "You Don't Know Me" by H.Art Studios melds cutting edge athleisure with formal silhouettes. Hand-beading creates a Victorian undertone felt throughout the collection.
Hannah Kristina Designs by Hannah Swanson: "Royalty Resurging" by Hannah Kristina Designs originates from the transformation of peacocks. Evening gowns in jewel tones exemplify the beauty of being born to stand out.
Jena DeBaker: Inspired by three words--bold, powerful, and beautiful--Jena DeBaker combines effortless tailoring and graphic prints into fashion-forward looks.
Kyrie Eleison Couture by Esmeralda Lole: "Nublado" by Kyrie Eleison Couture symbolizes mental illness, especially in minority communities. Fighting mental illness stigmas, the collection captures the beauty in each struggle.
Lauren Glowacki Designs: This collection tells the story of the sky during a sunset with a dynamic color story and embroidered star detailing in streetwear styles.
Lillian Lois by Lillie DeVries: "Bricklane to Buckingham" by Lillian Lois is inspired by the juxtaposition of formal and street style in London. Unique hats and corsets add a dramatic flair to this womenswear line.
RoninScar by Alex Scarpello: "Emerging From A Dark Forest" by RoninScar represents the spectrum of human emotion. Texture and unique motifs add depth to this line of menswear.
Samuel Macke: A nod to the past that pushes into the future, Samuel Macke's collection feels effortless. Simple tailoring and loose drape are playfully combined to create a feminine feeling.
SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 29: EVOLVE FEATURED DESIGNER SHOWCASE

Anisha Fashionista by Anisha KillsEnemy: This line of modern pieces in a heavy metal brocade evoke the idea of whimsy and youth. Pastel colors inspired by mythical unicorns add to these feelings.
Duane Topping: The idea that flowers can bloom in the snow sparked this collection of brightly colored garments with unexpected details.
Hannah Jensen: Evening wear influenced by glamorous silhouettes of 1930's Hollywood is reimagined in a modernized collection by Hannah Jensen. Powerful and playful, these looks bring the unexpected to the runway.
