Omaha Fashion Week celebrates 15 years of runway showcases! This season's theme is AURORA, which is the Latin word for dawn. As we look forward to the future of fashion in Omaha, we are excited about the new generations of designers and models taking the runway. This season's designers draw inspiration from alternate realities and cultural heritage while exploring themes of nostalgia and environmentalism.

Throughout the week, we will be showcasing 19 Emerging Designers + 15 Featured Designers who will present their collections each night on the Milan Laser Runway, each night of OFW Fall 2023 AURORA Season. In addition, we will be featuring 7 Headlining Designers including 2 iconic designers that have been with us since day one in 2008, our Golden Shears award winners from the Fall season, Omaha Fashion Camp students, bespoke menswear, and a special guest from the African Fashion Week runway.

Their inspirations manifest through streetwear, bridal gowns, eveningwear, avant garde and even swimwear lines! We’ll see global influence over the collection’s aesthetics from Japan and Paris to Ukraine, Kenya, Somalia, and the Middle East.

Of these, 15 of our designers are high school or college students. We have 23 designers returning to our showcases, many are iconic OFW designers returning after a COVID induced hiatus, and 15 designers who are brand new to our show. This group is from all over the US including our local Nebraskans, our neighbors in Iowa, Kansas, and Missouri, and a few making the trek from California, Texas, Ohio, and Colorado.

We are so inspired by this amazing lineup of Emerging Designers who will be showcasing in the first half of every show! Emerging Designers are either brand new to Omaha Fashion Week, student designers, or veteran designers trying out a completely new method of creation. We will close each show with an incredible lineup of inspiring collections by our Featured Designers. This designer track is full of experts at their craft who will showcase high-quality, ready-to-buy looks on the Milan Laser Runway.
