The University of Nebraska-Lincoln announced the potential closure of several academic departments across the university, including the Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design [TMFD].
Together, Omaha Fashion Week and TMFD collaborate in providing unique, professional opportunities for students to demonstrate their talents in fashion design. Omaha Fashion Week is committed to voicing its opposition to the closure of the department.
We encourage all of our followers and fans to continue this effort by attending the virtual hearing on October 14 at 3 PM on Zoom. In the hearing, attendees may voice their concerns about the department closure and testimonies about the impact that TMFD has had on their lives.
