Hi all!

OFW Producer, Brook Hudson here with some important info about Front of House safety procedures for our guests in the wake of the latest Covid-19 surge caused by the Delta variant. We are weighing our concern for public health with the needs of our young people to have an outlet for creative expression that OFW provides. We are asking for all adults who will be attending shows to help us keep our young people who will be performing (many of whom are not yet vaccinated) safe by following our safety protocols:

  1. We ask all attendees to please wear masks, regardless of vaccination status. We will have some available at the check in desk for those who need them.

  2. Please keep a distance of 3-6 ft from guests who are not part of your household.

  3. We will provide hand sanitizer throughout the venue.

  4. All of our staff, volunteers and talent will be masked during the event (except for times when talent is appearing on the runway).

  5. Safety barriers at the bars have been reinstalled.

  6. Please keep in mind that this is an indoor event with a large crowd. There are inherent risks, especially to those who are not vaccinated, immune compromised or over 65 years of age. Please consider getting vaccinated prior to the event. Even one dose will provide you more protection than nothing.

  7. Starting August 16 (10 days prior to shows), we encourage attendees to limit their exposure to Covid in public places by masking, avoiding crowds and monitoring for Covid symptoms.

  8. If you develop Covid symptoms, are exposed to someone who is Covid-positive, or test positive for Covid in the days leading up to shows, please stay home. Drop us an email at info@omahafashionweek.com and we’ll help you get safe access to the the show from home.

Backstage, we are re-implementing the same Covid-19 safety measures we used in 2020 to keep talent safe. That includes compulsory masking (except on the runway), social distancing, keeping talent in cohorts as they move through backstage, and limiting the amount of time models spend in hair & makeup. If you would like to see those protocols in detail, read them here. We decided to re-implement these protocols due to the large number of young people involved in our shows, many of whom have not yet been vaccinated. We hope our adult audience members will support us in keeping these amazing young people healthy by getting vaccinated, wearing masks and monitoring for symptoms. We are all in this together - let’s make sure the show goes on safely!

Thank you!
