“Our goal was to get Kate in front of as many students as possible during her stay in Omaha. She has a heart for young people and an amazing story that will inspire students to ‘just go’ [reference from her book] and achieve their dreams,” said OFW Producer, Brook Hudson.

Admission to MCC Student Night is waived for students who present a student ID. A limited number of free ticket blocks are also available to educators and youth group leaders. In past years, up to 700 students have attended. In addition to the discussion panel, 135 high school designers from schools and organizations around Nebraska will present their work on the runway. Student-designers will be vying for a $500 cash prize for the top look of the night, as selected by Betts and the discussion panel.

Signed copies of Kate’s book, My Paris Dream: An Education in Style, Slang and Seduction in the Great City on the Seine, will be available for purchase in the Omaha Fashion Week pop up shop.
