Last night we kicked off Omaha Fashion Week of August 2015 with our Bridal, Children’s, and Sister Cities Showcase. We had a great evening of food, cocktails, art, and of course, fashion!

Besides our top-notch designers, we also had some great retailers selling merchandise including Pretty in Patina, Borsheims, Gordmans, and Design Parliament. Artists, Audi Helkuik and Matt Babe were also spotted at the fashion tent with their awe-inspiring artwork. Audi is our official Omaha Fashion Week sketch artist and Matt is OFW’s resident street artist.

Kaitlyn is a student at Parsons The New School For Design and debuted a childrens wear collection last night at Omaha Fashion Week! Her collection was her first go at designing children’s wear. Kaitlyn’s collection was full of looks that were both appealing to children as well as parents.

Caleb is a student at Iowa State University. Last night, he showed a bridal collection that embodied both a vintage and modern look. He used beautiful bridal laces and bridal fabric of ivory tones.

The Omaha Sister Cities Association is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization that promotes diplomacy between Omaha and six sister cities located in Europe, Asia and Latin America. Last night, we were able to see two traditional looks from each of Omaha’s sister cities.

Jessica brought a children’s line of elegant dresses to our runway last night. Beautiful fabrics were used in making her fairy tail inspired collection.

Kingdom Unlimited is designed by Isabel Muziva. Her collection featured global prints and typical western wear fabric.

Adrienne Anderson- Winner

Adrienne Anderson of Quite-a-Riot showed a unique bridal collection which had wearable pieces beginning from the bachelorette party all the way to the honeymoon. Her beautiful pieces and superb craftsmanship led Adrienne to owning the title of Monday night’s top designer! Congratulations to Adrienne from all of us here at Omaha Fashion Week!
